Ian Assersohn

Ian Assersohn is an experienced and highly regarded choral director and has been leading the choir since 2001. He also directs Epsom Male Voice Choir and Vaughan Williams Singers, an auditioned chamber choir which he found in 2018.

Ian is also a successful composer and arranger. His music, which is popular with choirs and audiences both here and abroad, is published by Oxford University Press and his own imprint, Apple Tree Music.

Ian studied at the Royal College of Music in London and the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag. He is a grade examiner for ABRSM, teaches privately and sits on the council of ABCD (The Association of British Choral Directors)
