We have made more than passing acquaintance with all the music we are tackling for Leith Hill Musical Festival. Monday’s rehearsal will include our Lower Voices getting angry for a new setting of William Blake’s “Poison Tree”, and our Upper Voices being utterly delightful for Vaughan Williams’ “Silent Moon”. Add some Bach “Magnificat” and a chorus or two from Haydn’s “Creation” and a thorough vocal workout is guaranteed. What is more, we enjoy ourselves.
We will take our turn on 13 April. Details at Leith Hill Box Office.
