Mons

I don’t intend to say a whole lot more about Mons here but I did want to officially record my gratitude to everyone who came for your hard work, concentration, magnificent singing and sheer all-round niceness and good humour. It was, as we know, an unforgettable experience, and a massive honour for the choir to be part of something that special.

Not that it really matters but I think the TV replays do slightly misrepresent the experience that those in the square will have had, because the choir is, in my view, too quiet in the mix. Nevertheless, it’s a wonderful thing to have in our archives - I’ve got downloads of all the performances now on audio and video - and personally I’m still not tired of watching and listening. Also I’m very pleased to see on the TV pictures that everyone is looking up: 5 stars to everyone for posture!

For those who weren’t able to come, I’m sorry that you missed it, but the good news is that the experience has undoubtedly given us all the bug for touring and I’m sure that there will be exciting opportunities coming up in the future.

Great thanks and kudos to all those involved in organising and managing the trip, especially, of course, Lindsay and Alison.
