The Four Choirs – Introduction
This blog is written on behalf of “The Four Choirs”. This is a group that has been brought together for a special performance of Verdi’s Requiem in November 2012.
The four choirs are: Leatherhead Choral Society, Oxshott Choral Society, Horsley Choral Society and Concordia Singers. Total singers: around 220.
The performance will take place in the 700-seater GLive in Guildford, Surrey on November 24th 2012 under the baton of Ian Assersohn, Musical Director of the Leatherhead and Concordia choirs. The orchestra will be the English Festival Orchestra with soloists Jane Streeton, Stephanie Lewis, Ben Thapa and Robert Anderson.
Wonderful flier and newsletter. Well done everyone! It is SO exciting! I can’t wait to hear all the voices especially the Dies Irae. Are we having a Verdi drum?
