Love - Sacred and Profane

Leatherhead Choral Society's very special winter concert for 2010 is at the Menuhin Hall, Stoke D'Abernon, Cobham.

The first half of the programme sees the world premiere of Ian Assersohn's new cantata The Song of Songs for soprano and tenor solos, choir, two pianos and percussion.

The second half of the programme is devoted to Carl Orff's ever-popular Carmina Burana in the version for two pianos and percussion (parts one and two).

With soprano Heather Caddick, tenor Rhys Bowden, pianists Jan Assersohn and Gina Eason and the Surrey County Percussion Ensemble (director Jackie Kendle) conducted by Ian Assersohn.

Tickets £12.50, Students and friends of LCS £10.00.
